In Communion we asked artists to investigate the physicality of the human experience. How do you translate sensation into an object in space? These works interrogate the birth of personhood, emotional wounds, and the manifestation of ego as proof of humanity. They depict the imperfect elements of life that cannot be recreated. The emotional tangibility of intimacy, compassion and the messiness of social friction coming together to answer the question of what makes us uniquely human.
