Join us the evening of August 22nd to close out "Scaling a Pyramid" by Jonathan Latiano with an artist talk, reception and print giveaway!
An artist talk moderated by Deb Dila will take place 4-5 PM.
Deb Dila has spent many years working in both visual art and research science, a sweet combination that provides an energizing balance in life. As an artist Deb uses a variety of media. Photography, video and encaustic painting are the primary tools she uses to move between narrative and abstract expression in her work. She taught photography at the New England School of Photography after completing their professional program.
As a research scientist in microbiology, Deb studied DNA modification for a biotech company in Boston and later managed a large sewage-chasing lab at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Currently she is a Milwaukee-based visual artist with a studio practice adjacent to the city’s Kinnickinnic River…
